Barbara Mulcahy, RN, CCM

Ms. Barbara Mulcahy has served as Vice President of Operations at CHC since September 2008. In running the daily operations of CHC, Ms. Mulcahy draws on diverse and comprehensive experience in health management to oversee government programs, pharmacy management, provider contracting, utilization management, claims and reporting. She also directs quality improvement activities on both the corporate and facility levels.

Prior to joining CHC, Ms. Mulcahy gained extensive experience in establishing best practices, organizational goals and standards of excellence while seeing many well respected healthcare companies through growth and expansion. She served as Vice President of Operations for ActiveHealth Management and Vice President of Health Management at HMS Healthcare, Inc. She has also worked as Manager of Utilization Management at the University of Colorado Hospital, Health Services Director at CIGNA Healthcare of Colorado, Regional Manager of the Patient Management Department of Aetna, Inc., Director of Health Services at Prudential Healthcare of Colorado and in various health management roles with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Colorado.

Ms. Mulcahy earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Northern Colorado and is currently a master’s candidate at the University of Phoenix Online. She holds a Colorado RN License and CCM Certification.
